Whether you believe in celebrating Hallmark holidays or not, it’s hard (and downright should be a crime) to turn away an excuse to give back to the women who literally gave us life. Yes, that’s right – Mother’s Day is coming up on Sunday the 12th of May and it’s time to give some extra love to the women who gave us everything. We’ve rounded up the best places for you to take your mum (or mother figure!) to for Mother’s Day brunch—whether she loves a fancy high tea or prefers a more laid-back approach, we’ve found something for every kind of mum.

Always wanted to do a luxurious movie-worthy breakfast in bed for Mum but don’t quite have the culinary skills? Treat her with an indulgent breakfast spread instead, in the form of a high tea at Bacchus. She’ll be treated like the queen that she is with a complimentary Bellini on arrival, before being served a specially curated selection of sweet and savoury treats and tea. There are three sitting times to choose from—11am-12:30pm, 1pm-2:30pm, and 3pm-4:30pm—so whether your mum is an early bird or likes a good sleep-in, you can pick a time that suits you!
High Tea at Bacchus is only $69pp and places are going fast, so make sure to make a reservation by calling 07 3364 0870 to avoid missing out.

If Mother’s Day is usually a family lunch affair, we’ve got your back. Celebrate Mum with the whole crew at e’cco bistro, which is opening exclusively on Sunday for a Mother’s Day Lunch. With a mouth-watering new a la carte menu that boasts dishes like Moreton Bay Bug risotto and gnocchi with gorgonzola, there will be something for everyone in the brood to enjoy and plenty of glasses to raise in honour of the special lady of the family.
There are two seatings available this year at e’cco, the first being 11:45am-1:45pm and the second starting at 2:15pm. For bookings, call 07 3831 8461.
Westport and Lee

Featuring a cascading back deck with a lush tropical garden oasis, it’s not hard to see why Westport and Lee is affectionately called ‘the heart of Paddington’. This café is run by a mother-daughter team, so Mother’s Day is extra special for them. They have an all-day breakfast on offer and for Mother’s Day Breakfast they are doing $5 mimosas! As you can imagine, spots at this venue always book out so make sure you call ahead on 07 3172 3539 to save a table for you and Mum.

If you and your lady-parent are people who like to eat healthy but don’t like the taste of “health” (we’ve all had a bad green juice before), Miss Bliss is the place for you. Each dish is made from seasonal wholefood ingredients that taste delicious but also make your body feel good. And we all want our Mums to feel good, especially on this special day, right?
Miss Bliss usually do a special dish for Mother’s Day, so keep an eye on their socials for the big reveal! The vibe is pretty relaxed at this café, so no bookings are necessary, but you might want to get in early so you can snag a table.
Darling and Co

Is your Mumma the life of the party? Is she more of a late lunch or dinner person? If you said yes to one or both of those questions, Darling & Co may be the perfect destination for your Mother’s Day celebrations. Spoil your mum with the two or three course set menu for either lunch or dinner—she’ll have a variety of dishes to choose from while she sips on a complimentary glass of bubbles.
Lunch seatings start at 12pm and 2:30pm, while dinner starts from 5pm. Be sure to book online through Darling & Co’s website in advance to lock in your Mother’s Day plans!
So there we have it! Mother’s Day weekend is coming up fast, so we suggest you hunker down and plan the best day for your mum – buy those flowers, write that tear-jerking card, make those reservations. Mother’s Day is about going above and beyond for the special lady in our life—after all, where would we be with our incredible mothers?
