As everyone’s favourite Brisbane brewery, Felons Brewing Co. has become a popular haunt for after-work drinks, Saturday night parties, Sunday sesh’s and basically everything in-between. We’ve all fallen in love with their signature beers brewed under the Story Bridge including the Australian Pale Ale, Middy, Natural Ale and Crisp Lager.
While you’ve been dreaming of summer, Felons has been dreaming up an epic beer-dinner aptly named, Winter Feast. Heading to the Riverside on Tuesday July 23 at 7pm, guests can expect a 3-course dinner including a snack on arrival matched to four LIMITED RELEASE beers. Each course will be expertly guided with witty banter by Head Brewer Tom Champion and Executive Chef Patrick Friesen.
Beginning with Jerusalem Artichokes with parmesan and chives to start before an entrée of Chicken Liver Parfait and country terrine with spent grain bread and pickles, the main dish of Smoked Black Angus with jus will be served with a range of sides including black winter truffle mashed potato and grilled local mushrooms with garlic confit and thyme.
These first three courses will be paired with Felons Dark Ale, Double Dry Hopped Pale Ale and their latest release, Imperial Stout. Created in collaboration with United States hop producers Yakima Chief, the Double Dry Hopped Ale contains the most hops Felons Brewing Co. have ever included in one of their beers.
The final course will see Winter Feast Smores cooked over charcoal at the table and paired with Felons Raspberry Sour. We know what you might be thinking… beer for dessert? But hey, don’t knock it till you try it.
