Affectionately known as The Grand Lady of the Brisbane River by locals, the Regatta Hotel has transformed its open-air courtyard into an enchanting winter woodland.

Upon entering, you’ll be greeted by a breathtaking sight: woven through the ceiling canopy and down into the booths is a magical, fairy-lit arrangement of lamb’s-ear, spray fern, dusty miller and eucalyptus, dotted with wisteria, foxgloves, apple seed and magnolia—all leading to the main feature in the centre of the courtyard, a 5m tall grand tree. How’s that for a wondrous winter woodland?

If you want to take part in the fun, you can reserve a Winter Woodlands booth for $49 per person. Reservations are for a minimum of 2 guests and are available Sunday – Thursday for both lunch and evening sessions. Each booth package includes a hearty Regatta platter to share (check out the full menu here) and a choice of hot cocktail per person. You get the pick of two cocktail options—the Spiked Apple Pie (think cheeky adult’s dessert: vanilla liqueur, brandy, spiced apple Rekorderlig cider, and nutmeg) or mulled wine (a beautiful season-appropriate blend of shiraz, berries, apple slices, cinnamon, aniseed and orange peel).

As if a reservation at this enchanted winter courtyard wasn’t enough, The Regatta is also introducing a Sunday brunch, available every Sunday from 11am – 5pm for $55 per person. So get the girls and guys or family brood together for a laid-back morning with top-notch food and drink! Each brunch reservation includes a 2-hour beverage package of selected sparkling, wine, beer, and mulled wine, as well as a brunch platter to share.

To spoil you for choice, Regatta brunch guests can choose from two brunch board options, including the Regatta Brunch Grazing Platter, which has everything from Croque monsieur to truffle salami and mini salmon bagels. There is also a vegan option, the Gardeners Brunch Grazing Platter, which features delicious bites like chickpea tempeh, avocado, falafel, smoked sesame cheese and house-made waffles with vanilla glaze!

You’ll have to hurry if you want in on this event—Regatta’s Winter Wonderlands will only be in place until September 2, 2019. We can’t imagine a more magical place to be at this winter in Brisbane! What are you waiting for? We’ll see you in the Woodlands!
