TAB Stradbroke Day – Melt Brothers, Abbiocco, Taco Fiesta and more…
A day at the races isn’t just about the racing… there’s a serious line-up off the track that’s not to be missed! Resident food trucks of Brisbane will round-up to experience a day at the races, providing racegoers with an abundance of gourmet street eats from around the globe. You’ll be able to get your hands on Melt Brothers’ signature M.C Cheesy toastie (think Macaroni & Cheese, Maple Bacon and of course, cheese), a tasty Taco or Burrito with all of the sides from our fave, Taco Fiesta, and a selection of hearty, Italian eats from Abbiocco – Yes, they’ve got arancini! So, gather the gang and head to TAB Stradbroke Day this Saturday to get your food-truck fix to kick off the chilly winter.
King of the Wings – American Style
Would this really be a list of Brisbane’s best food trucks without arguably the most iconic of them all? King of the Wings stands as the winner of Best Food Truck Brisbane in 2018, and it’s easy to see why. You’ll be able to warm yourself from the inside out with their selection of 6 tasty wing flavours, as well as wedges, spring rolls, and spiced samosa’s. We’re seriously winging out over these!
CharKOR BBQ – Korean BBQ
Chef Lydia Ra’s CharKOR BBQ truck brings together high-quality ingredients, restaurant-style meals, and unique flavours to create authentically flavoursome Korean BBQ meals. To top it off, the food trucks inbuilt charcoal grill will remove excess oils while sealing in flavour to leave you with a super healthy and delicious meal.
The Bratmobile – German Sausages
If you haven’t had the chance to try a traditional-style dog from Brat Haus’ Bratmobile, definitely add it to the top of your ‘to do’ list this winter. Cruising from Brisbane to Caloundra since 2016, the Bratmobile brings you a selection of the finest German dogs you won’t find anywhere else (except maybe Germany). Make sure to get the iconic foot-long grilled bratwurst and make it super traditional by adding sauerkraut!
Pizzantica – Italian
It’d be hard to miss the iconic style of Pizzantica’s VW Kombi Van with its traditional pizza-oven attachment rolling around Brisbane. Feast on a variety of freshly made Italian style pizzas straight out of their wood-fired oven and follow it up with one of their delectable calzone desserts. Nothing will warm you up more on a chilly night and it ticks the “family-friendly” box!
And that’s a wrap! Brisbane’s best food trucks revealed – now you have an excuse to skip meal prep this winter!
