Beer fans rejoice! XXXX, are reopening their Milton brewery doors for the first time since 1993 and they're welcoming a music festival that sounds too good to be true.
Fortunately for Brisbane, it is true, and you could be one of the first people inside the XXXX gates for the XXXX Presents: Live at the Brewery event (No golden tickets found inside chocolate bars necessary…).
The festival, which will be held Saturday November 16, aims to celebrate the area’s culture and will feature quality live music, lots of food stalls and (you guessed it!) silos of beer.
XXXX are welcoming the general public in for a night of fun and appreciation of the place in the hearts of the community that the 141-year-old company holds.
The Brisbane live music scene is vastly expanding and, thanks to Jet Black Cat Music, both local and interstate musicians will take to the stage at the base of the silos (we cannot wait!). Whilst the lineup hasn’t been announced yet, we can hope for great things from the team behind the brilliance of the End of The Line Festival’s programming and the introduction of global indie artists Connan Mockasin to Brisbane.
For the true XXXX fans and Milton locals, there will be limited edition merchandise to purchase on the night. After the festival, which begins at 2pm and finishes at 9pm, post-festival celebrations will flow on into the XXXX Brewery Alehouse.
Tickets go on sale on Monday September 16 and for those who sign up for the early bird tickets, you can take $10 off your ticket price. And, like the gift that keeps on giving, everyone who buys an early bird ticket will receive an entry to the brewery tour for free (valued at $32) which is valid until the 30th June 2020.
The 18+ festival is set to be an amazing night out and how many times can you say you’ve partied in a brewery!
For more info keep your eyes peeled for the lineup, your ears open for some awesome live music acts and your best stubby holder poised for a can of Queensland’s favourite beer.
